Wednesday : Keswick Valley at the Burtt’s Corner Baptist Church from 10-12noon & Francophone Playgroup at the Centre Communautaire Ste-Anne from 9:30-11:30
Thursday : Fredericton Junction at the Fredericton Junction Baptist Church from 9:30-11:30

Adjusting to Parenting
This group provides new mom’s the opportunity to discuss issues that come with being a new mom, share advice and offer support. Bring your new baby (childcare provided) and enjoy exchanging ideas with other new moms. Come share the joys and address the challenges of parenting together with other moms in your neighborhood.

Life With Baby
This class will be held every Monday afternoon from 1:30-3:00pm. This class is open to any parents and their babies from 0-12 months. On various weeks we will be having guest speakers come in to talk about life with a baby, topics covering everything from Songs and Rhymes, Starting Solids, Art with Baby and many more. Each week you will have the opportunity to talk to one another about everything parent related and relax while the babies sleep, play and explore. We provide a full snack and coffee. Come and Check it out! No need to register in advance.
This program is a valuable and unique way of blending learning and play. There is free play, stations, games and snack.

Family Drop In
Parents and children can come and enjoy our well-equipped playroom, craft are, books and outdoor play yard during drop in hours. This is a great time for the children and parents to get to know each other.
L’il Van Goghs
This is a special time for children to develop their creativity through finger-painting, drawing, cutting and gluing. The children are provided with all they need to make any craft their work of art.
This program is for children ages 2 ½ – 6 years of age and their parents/caregivers. Families will get to explore and experiment with planned science experiments in a hands-on way.
Children love to help out in the kitchen! So here is a program designed specifically for them to let out their creativity with cooking. Families will enjoy picking out ingredients, measuring items, mixing everything together, and watching the children’s masterpieces cook. The best part will be the taste-testing!
Families participate together in this literacy program that encourages reading. Coupled with songs and finger plays, several stories with the selected themes are chosen and read in a group setting.
These events are organized for special occasions. They are fun for the whole family to enjoy together. Some examples include participating in the Christmas parade, apple picking, Family Literacy Day, and holiday parties (Halloween etc.).
Rock N Roll
Looking for high energy fun with your kids? This class will have you bopping to the beat with a new program called ” Rock N’Roll”“. Each class you will learn new songs while engaging in constant movement. Other movement activities include parachute play, dances, games and more. Great exercise for the kids and their parents! The sessions will run every Monday morning from 10:00-11:00.
1, 2, 3, 4 Parent!
This program is a four-week interactive learning experience specifically for parent of children ages 1-4. It helps further develop the skills and attitudes that are necessary as parents of young children. Some topics covered include: self-esteem, developmental stages, self-care, bonding, non-violent discipline methods, and tantrums.
Informational Referral Services
This is an ongoing service available to families in the community. It offers referrals to other services within the community if parents express the need. Also, information is available in regards to services existing in the area that would be accessible and beneficial to parents.
A parenting program for parents of children birth to age five.
There are no perfect parents, or perfect children or perfect people. We can only do our best, and we all need help once in a while.
Meet with other parents of young children; share questions, concerns and ideas about being a parent; learn about child development, safety, health and behaviour; discuss real-life parenting situations; work together with the support of a trained facilitator; discover positive ways of parenting.

Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP)
In a group setting of peers, parents learn effective methods of guidance and insight on their children’s development and behaviour. Over the 7-week course you will gain the necessary skills for building communication, self-esteem and cooperative behaviours in your child and family.
This weekly themed program offers parents and their children of 6 years and under the opportunity to participate in a French-speaking environment. We do free play, crafts, games, music, reading circle, snack and other activities depending on the weekly theme. For more information, call Melissa at the Centre.
Francophone group is offered at the Centre Communautaire Ste-Anne on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:30
This program is for families with children ages 2-5 years of age. It is a physical activity-based program consisting of bean bag games, parachute fun, obstacle courses, action songs, trampoline jumping, gross motor activities, creative movement, preschool aerobics and much more that will get the children active!
Moms on the Moves
The Fredericton Regional Family Resource Centre & The City of Fredericton ( Recreation dept.) are thrilled to partner this year to offer the program Moms on the Move!!
Moms on the Move! is a free walking program for moms or expecting moms (dads and caregivers also welcome). Moms on the Move walks; Tuesday mornings 10:00-11:30am until mid-October. Positive Discipline Parenting Program
Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting is a set of principles that can be applied in a wide range of situations. It can guide all interactions with children, not just the challenging ones. The program is for parents of children of all ages. It addresses common issues that arise between birth and the end of adolescence. It can be helpful for any family.
This program is also for future parents. And it is for those who support parents, such as parent educators, parent group facilitators, and family support workers.
Busy Bees (Toddler Time)
Busy Bees is a program held in our large playroom at the FRFRC. We have playtime, a craft, songs and rhymes, sensory activities and a healthy snack. Participating in this program with your child provides and excellent opportunity to watch them grow and learn as you continue your bond. Other ages are welcome but the program is geared to those children between the ages of 12 and 30 Months.
